Free 3D Printing

3D Printing

3D printing is now available at the Spokane County Library District. Our first 3D printer, an Ultimaker 2, is available for public use at the Spokane Valley Library on the first floor.

The 3D printer builds an object from a digital file by adding layer after layer of plastic filament. It’s a little bit like a hot glue gun, but instead of glue it extrudes a hard bioplastic derived from renewable starch-based resources. From action figures with moveable parts, to custom cellphone charging stands, to prosthesis prototypes, few limitations exist when it comes to 3D printing.
